How it works
Record the demo. Keep the context.
Shoyu keeps short software walkthroughs lightweight, then carries the context a product team usually has to ask for later.
Workflow
A demo your team can follow after you leave.
The page story is simple: record, attach context, share, review.
Start where the work is already happening.
Open Shoyu from the menu bar, pick the screen area that matters, and record the walkthrough before the context disappears.

Local files stay yours until you share
Example: record the checkout flow once, with the issue and browser state still fresh.

Frequently asked
Questions about context, beta access, and recording.
Shoyu is developer-first because developer demos need more than pixels. Product managers, designers, QA, support, and founders can still use the same recorder when they need to show software work clearly.
On your disk, in a folder you choose. Sharing is opt-in: when you copy a link, Shoyu uploads the file to shoyu.cc and gives you a share URL. Until then, it is just a file you own.
Not to record, trim, and export locally. You need an account for hosted sharing, team access, and beta web features.
Shoyu is designed around safe context first: app identity, browser navigation, source anchors, and terminal replay can attach as lightweight context when available. Deeper browser diagnostics and sensitive capture stay explicit and visibly marked.
Shoyu is preparing for macOS first. Windows and Linux are coming later, after the Mac release feels fast, quiet, and reliable.
A basic recorder captures what was on screen. Shoyu is built for developer demos where the app, browser, code, and terminal context can matter just as much as the video.
Whatever you point the crop tool at. Full screen, a window, or a region. Shoyu remembers the last region you used.
