Comment on the whole recording, or on one second of it. Replies stay in the thread. Mention a teammate with @. Resolve the thread when the question is answered.
Tap one of eight emoji on a moment. Reactions show on the timeline. Nearby reactions with the same emoji group into one marker with a count.
App, Browser, Code, and Terminal moments show as markers and in the companion rail. Click one and playback jumps there. The recording owner can turn each context category off for viewers.
See how many views a recording has, how many people watched, and how far they got. A view counts after five seconds. Hide author stats takes the creator’s own views out of the totals.
Where does the 500 come from?
At 0:41 the POST to /api/checkout returned 500 after the second click. The retry code is open at 1:03 in route.ts, lines 231 to 241.
Why only on the second click?
At 1:03 they say the retry drops the idempotency key, so at 1:09 the server sees a brand new order.
Ask a question about the recording. A small language model runs in your browser with WebGPU. It answers from the title, transcript, and context of this recording. Shoyu servers do not see the question.
Link a recording to the one to watch first, the one to watch next, or a newer version. Viewers get a prompt before they press play and a choice of what to watch when it ends. A link never opens a recording someone cannot already watch.
Your Mac makes the transcript from your microphone, on the device. Each line is a link into the video. Captions are on by default. The owner can correct a line in the transcript editor.
Everyone in your organization.
Each recording is Private, open to your Organization, or Public for anyone with the link. Your organization can turn off external links for every recording. A closed page does not say whether the recording exists.
Comments, reactions, and context each have their own marker on the timeline. Viewers can turn each one off.

Search what was said, the files that were open, and the commands that ran. Each result opens the recording at that moment. You only find recordings you can already watch.
Explore SearchPeople in your team can download the network log from a Deep Context recording as a HAR file. It keeps metadata only, with no request bodies or cookies. Terminal sessions download as replays you can play back.
Explore ContextPress T for cinema mode and the video fills the page. Scroll down and the player floats in a corner, so you can read the comments and keep watching. Picture in Picture is in the player’s right-click menu, where your browser has it.
A Shoyu link opens in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge, on a laptop or a phone. Private and Organization recordings ask viewers to sign in. Public links open for anyone, if your organization allows them.
Connect Shoyu to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or VS Code over MCP. Your agent can search the recordings you can watch, then read one recording’s transcript and context.
Search from anywhere
Turn on Automation and choose what your agent can capture. Then it can record its work through Shoyu. The recording arrives with an Agent handoff: a title, a summary, and a marker for each step.
How agents recordPick a window, a display, or a portion of the screen. Add your camera, one or more microphones, and system audio. Then press Record.
⇧⌘⌥R starts a recording of the window under your cursor.
Pick a shape, its corners, a border, a colour, a label, and a shadow for your camera, or cut yourself out and drop the frame. A Voice ripple pulses out from the frame while you talk. Open the paintbrush on the camera before you record, and press Save as default to keep it.
Press ⇧⌘⌥G and select part of the screen. Choose Capture clip to record up to 30 seconds, without sound, then pick GIF or MP4 and the file is on your clipboard. Choose Screenshot to mark up a still image: draw boxes and circles, blur private details, and add text, emoji, or a border. Then copy it, or save it as a PNG. Quick captures stay on your Mac.
