What happens after you stop
Shoyu uploads every recording, copies its link and opens it. Here is how to follow the upload and change what happens.
Upload and link
When you stop, Shoyu uploads the recording to the organization you chose and copies its link. By default it then opens the recording in your browser, where it finishes processing.
To stay on your Mac instead, turn off Open in browser when recording stops in Settings › Recording. The Island then shows the upload progress and ends with Link copied. Click it to open the recording.
The first time Shoyu opens a recording, a message asks whether to keep doing so. Choose Keep or Turn off.
Follow the upload
The menu bar icon shows the upload progress. The Status Panel lists it under Now, and the Library lists it under Uploading.
If the connection drops, the upload pauses and shows why, such as Waiting for connection. Shoyu retries by itself, sooner when your network comes back. Your recording stays safe on your Mac the whole time.
Processing in the browser
On the Playback page, Shoyu shows This recording is processing with progress. You can leave the page: processing carries on. While you wait, Shoyu asks you to name the recording and add tags.
When it is ready, Shoyu shows Your recording is ready. Click Watch your recording.
If the upload fails
The Status Panel shows Upload failed with Retry and Dismiss. The recording stays on your Mac. See Fix upload problems.
