Ask questions about a recording

Ask a question

1. Open a recording and click the Ask Shoyu tab beside the player.
2. The first time, read the short introduction and click Continue. Shoyu loads a model in your browser.
3. Type a question, or pick a suggestion such as “Summarize this recording in three bullets”. Press ↩ to send.

Answers include timestamps. Click one to jump there. Press ⇧↩ for a new line, Stop to end an answer early, and Clear chat to start again.

What Ask reads

Ask reads the recording’s moments, context, chapters and transcript. It does not read comments. It runs in your browser, so your questions are not sent to Shoyu.

If Ask is unavailable

Ask needs WebGPU. If Shoyu says Ask Shoyu is unavailable here, try an up-to-date Chrome on a computer.
