Understand recording statuses
What each badge on a recording means, from processing to expired, and what to do about it.
Statuses
| Badge | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting for upload | Shoyu created the recording and is waiting for the Mac app to send it. |
| N% processed or Processing | Shoyu is preparing the video. You can leave the page. |
| Upload failed | The upload did not finish. The recording is still on the Mac that made it. See Fix upload problems. |
| Safety review or Review delayed | Shoyu checks new uploads for unsafe content. Playback opens when the check passes. |
| Unavailable | The video cannot be played, for example because hosted access is paused for the organization. |
| Expired | The hosting period ended. The video is gone, and the recording can no longer be changed. Comments, the transcript and chapters stay readable for 30 days. |
| Deleted | Someone deleted it. Only its owner and the organization’s owners see it, under the Deleted status, and they can recover it until it’s deleted for good. |
If processing takes longer than ten minutes, Playback says so and offers ways to contact support.
