Turn on Deep Context in a browser tab
Record network requests and console errors from one tab, for one recording, with a visible marker on the page.
Turn it on
- Start a recording in Shoyu.
- Go to the tab you want to capture. It must be a normal web page (http or https).
- Click the Shoyu button in the browser toolbar.
The page shows a “Shoyu Capturing” marker. Deep Context only runs while that marker is visible. Click the toolbar button again to stop it.
What Deep Context records
- Network requests: address, method, status, type, timing and headers, saved as a HAR file you can open in Chrome DevTools.
- Failed requests, and how many console errors and warnings appeared.
It never records request or response bodies, cookies, query values, sign-in or session headers, console text, error messages, stack traces, storage or page snapshots.
The limits
- It starts from the moment you click. Nothing from earlier in the recording is filled in.
- It covers one tab and one recording. Turn it on again next time.
- It does not come back on by itself if the connection drops.
- It does not work on browser pages such as Settings, on extension pages, on files or on blank tabs.
- If your organization has turned the Browser layer off, Deep Context is off too.
Who can see it
Network details appear on the recording’s Network tab for members of your organization who can watch it. People watching a Public link never see them. Recording managers can download the HAR file and delete Deep Context.
If it does not start
