What Browser context records
With the extension connected, Shoyu notes the pages you visit during a recording. Here is what it keeps and who sees it.
By default
While you record, the extension sends Shoyu the title and address of the tab you are on, each time it changes. Viewers see these pages as moments on the timeline and in the recording’s Links list.
- In a window recording, Shoyu follows the tabs in that window. In a display or portion recording, it follows the tab you are using.
- Linear issues and Figma files are recognised, so viewers get Open in Linear and Open in Figma buttons.
- Before upload, Shoyu removes sign-in details, query strings and fragments from addresses. Linear, Figma and Notion links keep theirs so they still open.
What it never records
Without Deep Context, the extension sends no page content, network traffic, console messages, form input or cookies. Only the page title and address.
Turn it off
Turn off Browser in the Control Deck’s Context tile for one recording. Owners and admins can turn the Browser layer off for the whole organization in recording policy.
