Install the shoyu command

Add the shoyu command to your terminal for Terminal context, recorder controls and search.

Install it from the Mac app

  1. Click Install on the Terminal Context card in the Mac app’s setup. Or open Settings › System & Storage and click Install CLI.
  2. Open a new terminal window and run shoyu version.

The command prints its version number. If you update it later, Shoyu asks you to approve it again.

Approve it

The first time a command talks to the Mac app, Shoyu shows Approve local client. Click Approve. Terminal capture and recorder controls (shoyu record and shoyu stop) ask for approval separately.
